Fittler hints unchanged Blues Origin squad

NSW coach Brad Fittler looks set to stick with his winning combination for Origin II

NSW coach Brad Fittler has dropped a strong hint he'll keep faith with his victorious State of Origin squad for game two.

The Blues can clinch the series at ANZ Stadium on June 24 thanks to their opening 22-12 victory over Queensland at the MCG.

And, barring any injuries, all 11 rookies appear set to be rewarded with the chance to go again after a string of starring displays including Sydney Roosters James Tedesco and Latrell Mitchell.

Fittler said he'd already looked at injury replacements in the instance cover is needed, but intimated at an otherwise unchanged line-up.

"Unless we have a major change of plan in the direction we want to play I don't know if I'd go with different players if they were all fit," Fittler told the Nine Network's 100% Footy on Monday night.

"That's one of the things where Queensland have had an advantage for years, the combinations.

"Those blokes seem to work hard for each other so I don't know if I'd break it if injury didn't occur."

Fittler and Maroons coach Kevin Walters will name their respective sides at the conclusion of this weekend's NRL action, with Walters tipped to make a number of alterations following a nightmare start to life without Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Johnathan Thurston.

The Blues' biggest enemy at this point is complacency.

"That's something we stomped on the head straight away, the job is definitely not over" Fittler said.

"I think all the young blokes appreciated that and understood that the second effort was always going to be bigger than the first effort.
