A first official fan group for Muslim supporters of Manchester City has been created this week.
A launch event for the Blue Crescent Official Supporters' Club (BCOSC) was hosted at Etihad Stadium and attended by Lord Mayor of Manchester Yasmine Dar.
The spokesperson for the group, which operates independently from City, says it's giving the chance for like-minded fans to experience games together and be "a part of matchday banter in a way that doesn't compromise on faith".
The BCOSC also says it aims to "change the perception that football fans come from a certain background" and provide access to "people who may have thought that football wasn’t for them".
