EPL's Chelsea sack manager Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte signed a three-year contract before becoming Chelsea head coach in 2016

Chelsea have fired manager Antonio Conte after a two-year tenure in which he won the English Premier League and FA Cup.

Following media reports the Italian had been shown the door, the London club said on Friday: "We wish Antonio every success in his future career."

After winning the Premier League at the end of his first season in charge, Conte failed to get his preferred signings last summer and Chelsea finished only fifth in the league and was eliminated from the last 16 of the Champions League.
