Emma Stone’s Oscars dress is all stitched up!

After winning Best Actress at the 2024 Academy Awards on Sunday, the Poor Things star, 35, revealed that she was able to get her gown fixed after ripping it dancing to Ryan Gosling’s performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the ceremony.

“They sewed me back in,” Stone told reporters backstage after winning. “Right when I came back, they sewed me back in, which was wonderful.”

The actress continued, “I generally do think I busted it during, 'I'm Just Ken.' I was so amazed by Ryan and what he was doing, and that number just blew my mind. And I was right there, and I just was going for it, and, you know, things happen.”

Stone wore a mint green Louis Vuitton strapless gown with a wide peplum skirt for the awards, accessorizing her look with a 30-carat yellow diamond necklace from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection.

While accepting the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Bella Baxter in Poor Things during the ceremony, Stone admitted she had broken her dress following her La La Land costar Gosling’s lively performance of “I’m Just Ken” from the soundtrack of the 2023 film Barbie.

“Oh boy. My dress is broken,” Stone began in her speech as she turned around to reveal a broken zipper on the back of her gown. “I think it happened during ‘I'm Just Ken.’ I’m pretty sure,” she added as the audience cheered.

Gosling, 43, certainly brought Ken-ergy to the stage on Sunday night with his performance as Stone also got involved. At one point during his rendition he passed the microphone to Stone, who joined in singing along with him, along with his Barbie costars Margot Robbie and America Ferrera.

Stone won her first Academy Award for Best Actress in 2017  for her role as Mia Dolan in La La Land, in which she starred opposite Gosling.

For his performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars, Gosling wore a custom Barbie-pink suit by Gucci and pink gloves. Fellow Kens — Scott Evans, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ncuti Gatwa — joined the actor onstage for the performance and also wore Gucci, along with the backup dancers.

Mark Ronson, who wrote and produced the song with Andrew Wyatt, also joined Gosling before Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen made an surprise appearance to end the epic performance.
