Aussie surfer Ellie-Jean Coffey has opened up about her decision to quit the sport professionally and start her own X-rated website.

Coffey shocked fans recently when she announced she’d started her own website where she sells “uncensored content” to subscribers for a fee.

Ellie-Jean and younger sister Holly-Daze, who both competed professionally in the World Surfing League’s qualifying series, have both now started up their own websites.

They joined a growing trend of celebrities and athletes, including former V8 Supercars driver Renee Gracie, to move into the world of adult entertainment.

Ellie-Jean even appeared in a promotional shoot with Gracie recently, spruiking their websites in a very frisky photoshoot.

The 26-year-old has now revealed how the “life-changing” decision has allowed her to express herself how she wants without the ugly backlash.

“I would definitely say (my favourite part of the industry is) the freedom to express myself sexually, that part of me has always existed,” Ellie-Jean told Barstool Sports.

“When I did post on my Instagram a lot, it angered a lot of people.

“Now I get to talk to these subscribers who I love and the best part about it is I get to be creative every single day.

“I wake up and think what do you want now, what can I express now, what kind of video or photo ... how can I make this work for both of us.

“It’s a unique thing, a unique platform - the creativity and intimacy between the subscriber and me.”

Coffey sisters building insane social media following

Ellie-Jean said she’s free of the “misogynistic” world of surfing and now has the freedom she’s always wanted.

“My new website has completed my life because it’s given me purpose,” she said.

“I’ve always had the pleasure of surfing, now I have the successful business which I feel has truly completed me.

“It’s been hard on social media having all these followers and not being able to talk to them one on one, now launching my website has just been life-changing.

“It allows me to be both a surfing girl and a successful businesswoman.”

Ellie-Jean previously said she spoke to her family and received their support before starting her X-rated venture.

She has three other sisters who all surf and have a combined social media following of over three million.

“We wear sexy bikinis and we surf good and that’s just what we do,” Holly told Yahoo Lifestyle last year.

Ellie added: “For such a long time in the surfing industry it’s been so male dominated where women were expected to talk like a guy, act like a guy surf like a guy.

“We can have pink surfboards and surf the same.”

According to Holly: “Why can’t we post sexy photos in bikinis and be taken seriously, why does that take away from anything?”
