La Liga - Osasuna v Atletico Madrid Felix
Joao Felix scored twice in his first match back from injury as Atletico Madrid routed Osasuna 5-0 on Wednesday to end their winless streak and regain fourth place in the Spain's La Liga.
Felix scored a goal in each half to lead Atletico to their first win after three consecutive league draws. The Portugal forward had been nursing a sprained left knee and had not played since the league resumed amid the coronarivus pandemic.
Marcos Llorente, Alvaro Morata and Yannick Carrasco also scored in Pamplona.
Diego Simeone's team eliminated defending champions Liverpool in the Champions League round of 16 just before the pandemic break, but had won only two of their last nine league games.
The victory kept Atletico 15 points behind leaders Barcelona, 10 points behind second-place Real Madrid, and two adrift of third-place Sevilla, while Osasuna remains 11th.
Felix opened the scoring with a powerful right-foot shot on 27 minutes and his second came from close range in the 56th minute after a pass from Diego Costa.
It was Felix's first double with Atletico, giving him eight goals this season, before Llorente in the 79th, Morata in the 82nd and Carrasco in the 88th also scored for the visitors who had dropped outside the Champions League places following the slump.
"That's our goal right now, to keep fighting for the Champion League places so we can be in the tournament again next season," Felix said.
Elsewhere, Eibar and Athletic Bilbao shared the points in a lively Basque derby that finished 2-2 at Ipurua.
The hosts fell behind on eight minutes when Raul Garcia slotted home a penalty off a post.
Eibar levelled on 19 minutes when Kike Garcia converted Pedro Leon's clever cross.
A Dani Garcia shirt pull on Gonzalo Escalante was spotted by the video assistant referee and Fabian Orellana scored the penalty in the 78th, but the lead lasted three minutes as Garcia's cross was met by Bilbao substitute Asier Villalibre who netted with his first touch.
Eibar are 16th, three points above the bottom three and a point clear of 17th-placed Celta Vigo who drew 0-0 with Valladolid, who are 14th.
