Edward Manoah may make a shock return to Vihigan United

Edward Manoah may make a shock return to Vihiga United after ditching the club last week.

Manoah shocked many when he announced his exit from the team despite leading it to promotion in the top tier last season.

The Western-based side finished top of the National Super League with 81 points, same as second-placed Wazito, who had an inferior goal difference and two more than Ushuru, who finished third.

But while many expected the coach to start making early preparation for a trip to the Kenyan Premier League debut next year, Manoah pulled a first by quitting the club unceremoniously.

But according to insiders, Manoah will most probably be in charge of the club next season but under new terms. "What Manoah wanted was improved terms and he did not know how to go about it and that is what prompted him to 'resign'.

"But after he clears with the county government of Vihiga, as a club we will sit with him and see how to work with him."

Goal understands the coach was to meet the club management on Monday but he did not turn up.
