Dylan Alcott recounts hilarious run-in with naked Roger Federer

Aussie wheelchair tennis champ Dylan Alcott has revealed the first time he ever met Roger Federer, his hero was completely naked.

Speaking on Andrew Denton’s ‘Interview’ on Tuesday night, Alcott said he was given the locker right next to the Swiss legend when he played his first Australian Open.

“I put my tennis bag in, I get my racquet out and standing there completely naked, basically with his penis on my shoulder, is Roger Federer,” Alcott said.

“I thought ‘that’s an interesting way to meet someone that you idolise’,

“I was just tying to look at all the right spots and keep my eyes up!”

Alcott has become an Aussie fan favourite in recent years.

After having a tumour removed from his spinal cord in the first few weeks of his life, he was left a paraplegic.

But his disability has been the furthest thing from a burden to the young superstar.

He set up the Dylan Alcott Foundation to help young kids with disabilities, and has thrived in the sporting arena.

After winning a gold medal in wheelchair basketball at the 2008 Paralympics, he switched his focus to tennis, winning two more gold medals at Rio 2016.

He has also won five grand slam singles titles and a doubles major, five of which have come at the Australian Open.

And last week he got to fulfil a lifelong dream of playing on the hallowed lawns of Wimbledon.

“I never thought I would play at Wimbledon. One hundred thousand per cent no,” Alcott recently wrote for Players Voice.

“Pulling on the all-whites for the first time is the definition of a dream come true.

“I love the Australian Open, but people ask me why Wimbledon has got that thing that everyone loves. It’s an intangible prestige. There’s just that feeling about it, and to come here and play is so cool.

“I’m loving the crisp whiteness of it. I think I look sexy in the whites.”

And the 27-year-old even got to hang out with royalty, meeting Duchesses Meghan and Kate.

“I met the Duchesses, too. They were lovely! I didn’t know what to say to them,” Alcott wrote.

“They said hello, and I said, ‘G’day, I’m Dylan’. Aren’t you supposed to say, ‘Your Royal Something?’. Well, I didn’t and they said, ‘Hi, I’m Kate’, and ‘Hi, I’m Meghan’. They just introduced themselves back.

“We talked to them for about three minutes, about Australia, about tennis, about how I looked in the whites. They thought I looked great. Sexy! I had a great time.”
