A very wet day at Chester-le-Street [Matt Cole - BBC Radio Kent ]

Day one of Durham's final County Championship game of the season against already relegated Kent was abandoned because of heavy rain.

After the heavens opened overnight, there were several puddles on the outfield at Chester-le-Street.

There is not much at stake for either side in this clash, with Durham safe in mid-table having secured their Division One status after being promoted this time last year.

Kent already know they will finish bottom after losing to Nottinghamshire a week ago.
