Denmark vs Serbia LIVE!

England’s rivals both have an eye on the Euro 2024 knockout stages as Group C reaches a likely dramatic climax tonight. Following opening draws with Slovenia and England, the Danes head to Munich knowing that they will book a spot in the last 16 simply by avoiding defeat at the Allianz Arena. They could yet end up winning the group if England slip up against Slovenia at the same time in Cologne, meaning they would avoid a formidable clash with hosts and Group A winners Germany in Dortmund on Saturday night.

Serbia, meanwhile, were just seconds away from likely elimination having trailed Slovenia in the latter stages of extra time last week after an initial battling loss to England in Gelsenkirchen, before Luka Jovic’s last-gasp effort rescued a thrilling draw to keep their knockout qualification hopes alive. Dragan Stojkovic’s side need to beat Denmark really, though a draw might still be sufficient if Slovenia do not upset England. Serbia cannot lose tonight and hope to progress.

Serbia are without Juventus winger Filip Kostic for the remainder of the tournament due to injury, while their opponents could welcome back Thomas Delaney following a bout of illness. Follow Denmark vs Serbia at Euro 2024 live below!

FT | Denmark 0-0 Serbia

21:55 , Dom Smith

Full-time in Munich. A low-quality game is enough for Denmark, but Serbia are heading home after a goalless draw.

They scored just one goal across three games but that wasn’t enough. Denmark through as runners-up by virtue of fair play, having picked up fewer yellow cards.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 90+3'

21:52 , Dom Smith

SO CLOSE to the winner from Serbia. Milinkovic-Savic denied by Schmeichel. Shot was too weak in truth.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 90+1'

21:49 , Dom Smith

Five added minutes here. Can either side nick it?

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 88'

21:47 , Dom Smith

Eriksen is withdrawn and Denmark put another striker on the pitch in the form of Yussuf Poulsen.

Serbia have had a much better second half and look the side most likely to win this now.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 87'

21:46 , Dom Smith

Serbia make another change late on, and it’s key midfielder Milinkovic-Savic who is on for Lukic.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 83'

21:42 , Dom Smith

Mitrovic shown a yellow card for an apoplectic reaction to not getting a penalty after what he thought was a foul by Andersen.

They square up to each other, and Mitrovic duly picks up a yellow.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 81'

21:40 , Dom Smith

A very good chance comes and goes for Serbia, as Mitrovic gets the ball and tries to bend it into the far corner.

It’s a daisy-cutter though, and it doesn’t whip round far enough. Wide of the mark.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 77'

21:36 , Dom Smith

Very turgid game this. Denmark bringing on Delaney and Kristiansen for Hjulmand and Bah to try and change that late on.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 72'

21:32 , Dom Smith

Kasper Hjulmand, the Denmark coach, wants a penalty for a shove in Dolberg’s back by Milenkovic, but referee says play on. Approaching the final 15 minutes now as Mladenovic comes on for Mijailovic.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 67'

21:26 , Dom Smith

Change for Serbia, as Vlahovic comes on for Ilic. That means Mitrovic, Jovic and Vlahovic are ALL on for Serbia. Three out-and-out strikers.

A sign of the times, with Dragan Stojkovic’s side needing victory to secure their passage to the round of 16.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 65'

21:24 , Dom Smith

Really good chance squandered again by Denmark, as Vestergaard gets up well from a corner.

But his header down is planted right into the path of goalkeeper Rajkovic, who catches with ease.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 62'

21:21 , Dom Smith

Strike by Hjulmand from similar distance to where he struck gold against England in Thursday’s 1-1 draw.

This time, though, it’s wild. Miles over the bar, with Denmark just starting to dictate play again but also misfiring when they do get into shooting opportunities.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 59'

21:17 , Dom Smith

Hojlund is off for Denmark, as Dolberg of Anderlecht replaces him to partner Wind up top for the Danes.

21:13 , Dom Smith

Denmark breathe a sigh of relief as Joachim Andersen of Crystal Palace slides into his own net from a Serbian cross...

But there was an offside in the build-up and it stays goalless. So nearly the moment Serbia crave.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 51'

21:10 , Dom Smith

Jovic rises highest from a Serbia corner but Denmark clear with relative ease.

The Danes then threaten through Skov Olsen, whose shot is deflected wide for a corner by Milenkovic.

Cleared by Serbia.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 46'

21:03 , Dom Smith

Luka Jovic is coming on for Serbia at the break, joining Mitrovic up front and replacing Gudelj, as Tadic replaces Samardzic in attacking midfield in a signal of intent from Serbia.

Skov Olsen for Wind is the Denmark change at the break.

HT | Denmark 0-0 Serbia

20:49 , Dom Smith

At the half-way stage, it’s tight, cagey and ultimately goalless between Serbia and Denmark at the Allianz Arena.

Denmark in control but it counts for nothing yet.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 45+1'

20:47 , Dom Smith

Just the one minute added on here.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 44'

20:45 , Dom Smith

Throw in right up by the corner flag by Zivkovic holds promise for Serbia, but nothing comes of it. Bit more possession from them, though. Slowly but surely they’re growing into the game as half-time approaches.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 41'

20:43 , Dom Smith

Goalless after 40 minutes in this one, and goalless too between England and Slovenia at the same stage of that game.

This is without doubt been the nerviest and tightest group of these European Championships.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 37'

20:39 , Dom Smith

Bit of a lull in the game as Serbia allow Denmark a period of patient possession unchallenged.

The Serbs will need to go for it a little more than this soon though. They’re heading out unless they spring a surprise and beat the Danes tonight.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 32'

20:34 , Dom Smith

Hojlund gets a little pocket of space from a corner and slams into the side netting. Close from the United man. Serbia would be pleased if they headed into the break goalless, given Denmark’s dominance.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 30'

20:32 , Dom Smith

Hjulmand, who scored that stunner against England on Thursday, is booked now, for a diving challenge on Serbia’s Ilic.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 28'

20:29 , Dom Smith

Yellow card for Wind for a foul on Pavlovic. The Serbian defender came off worse, but rightly given a caution.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 26'

20:27 , Dom Smith

61 per cent possession for Denmark, three shots, and four corners. Serbia haven’t had a shot OR a corner. It’s been one-sided to say the least.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 23'

20:25 , Dom Smith

The ball is in the net after Eriksen’s corner, but the ball went out of play from his delivery, so no goal.

As you were. Denmark pushing.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 22'

20:23 , Dom Smith

Fine, fine stop by Rajkovic, who is nearly beaten by Eriksen but gets down to push wide. Takes an age for Serbia to clear the next corner - and they can only put it behind for another.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 17'

20:18 , Dom Smith

Bah gets a push when heading on goal and wants a penalty, but in truth that’s a stretch and the referee is right to wave play on. The Danes well on top though.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 15'

20:16 , Dom Smith

Christian Eriksen beginning to see more of the ball, playing his teammates into play and helping Denmark transition up the pitch. Maehle always an option out left.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 12'

20:12 , Dom Smith

Better from Serbia, but Lukic’s pass out to the left for Zivkovic is overhit.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 9'

20:11 , Dom Smith

Denmark, predictably, in control early on here. Dominating proceedings but yet to create any better chances than Hojlund’s early effort weakly into Rajkovic’s grasp.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 5'

20:07 , Dom Smith

It’s played short to Wind, who swivels but shoots down the keeper’s throat.

Denmark 0-0 Serbia | 4'

Milenkovic with a pull of the shirt on Manchester United striker Hojlund there. Free-kick Denmark

Dragan Stojkovic not happy with Serbia's start to matches so far...

19:36 , Dom Smith

Serbia boss Dragan Stojkovic has been disappointed with Serbia’s first-half performances against England and Slovenia. He says he is hoping for better today.

“It is one of the issues we are working on and want to improve,” he said. “We spend a lot of time talking about that, training on it and having meetings.

“We don't want to give the advantage to the opponent in that first 45 minutes. We want to grasp the game and get full control of the ball.

“I have a lot of respect for Danish football. From the physical aspect, it will be a really good challenge. Technically they have really players.”

He said: “But I strongly believe my players will be ready to have a good game and I really hope everyone enjoys the football from both sides.”

Serbia fans in fine voice

The Allianz Arena is filling up nicely, and Serbian fans are desperate to see their side attack to a dramatic stoppage-time point against Slovenia last time out by beating the Danes to make the last 16.

Serbia starting line-up

18:55 , Dom Smith

Serbia (3-4-2-1): Rajkovic; Veljkovic, Milenkovic, Pavlovic; Mijailovic, Ilic, Gudelj, Zivkovic; Samardzic, Lukic; Mitrovic

Denmark starting line-up

18:51 , Dom Smith

Denmark (3-4-1-2): Schmeichel; Andersen, Christensen, Vestergaard; Bah, Hojbjerg, Hjulmand, Maehle; Eriksen; Hojlund, Wind

Kasper Hjulmand confident in his side...

18:42 , Dom Smith

Denmark were excellent against England last time out and their manager is confident ahead of tonight.

“We plan this game in the same way we plan every game - we always want to win," said Hjulmand.

"We miss being in the locker room singing about winning. We know a draw might be enough but a lot of different things can happen.

"No matter what, we play the game wanting to win. We can be under pressure but we will always look for opportunities to score. We strongly believe we can win."

Permutations for Denmark and Serbia...

18:26 , Dom Smith

Serbia head into the game bottom of Group C on one point, while Denmark have two points, as do England’s opponents tonight, Slovenia.

The side that finishes second in Group C - likely to be Denmark if they avoid defeat tonight - face a nightmare route to Berlin.

They would face Germany in the last 16 and Spain would be possible quarter-final opponents before potentially Portugal in the semi-finals.

England would win Group C if they beat Slovenia. Serbia must beat Denmark to have any realistic hopes of keeping their campaign alive.

If Denmark fail to beat Serbia, England will finish top so long as they avoid defeat. Slovenia, meanwhile, only need a point to qualify.

Standard Sport's Denmark vs Serbia prediction

18:09 , Dom Smith

It is likely to be a nervy affair in Munich, with so much on the line.

Denmark will be in confident mood after their performance against England, pressing high and showing more in attack than they did in their opening match against Slovenia, and they can get the job done here, even if the likes of Aleksandar Mitrovic and Dusan Vlahovic will ensure Serbia carry a real threat.

Denmark to win 2-1.

Serbia team news

18:03 , Dom Smith

As for Serbia, Dragan Stojkovic has issues to contend with following another limp display against Slovenia.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Nemanja Gudelj were taken out of the XI which lost to England, but Sasa Lukic and Ivan Ilic failed to control the midfield. Dusan Tadic should keep his place though, having been dropped for the opener.

Filip Kostic is injured but there is a headache at left wing-back after Filip Mladenovic was hooked at the break on Thursday, with his replacement Mijat Gacinovic also failing to impress.

Luka Jovic’s late goal against Slovenia may have earned him a spot in the line-up.

Denmark team news

17:54 , Dom Smith

Joakim Maehle came into this side for Denmark against England and added some attacking impetus out wide, so should keep his place.

Mikkel Damsgaard and Alexander Bah are options, should Kasper Hjulmand opt to freshen things up, while Yussuf Poulsen is pushing to start up front.
