Aussie ODI captain Aaron Finch has shut down fellow opener David Warner’s TikTok challenge in hilarious style.

Warner has been active on TikTok after posting a number of videos - which have seen various reactions - during his time away from cricket in isolation with his family.

A recent TikTok video saw Warner showing himself and wife Candice decked out in their respective cricket and surf lifesaving gear, before they followed the trend and ‘flicked the switch’.

And while his latest TikTok was clever, his challenge to ODI captain Finch may have not gone down as he would have expected.

Warner performed a clever video of him picking up a hot cup of tea and reacting in line with some Michael Jackson.

He captioned the video: “Let’s see if you can better this @aaronfinch5 lol, thoughts?”

Finch was quick to respond with a TikTok of his own, but appeared to mock the idea of performing a video by pointing out his age.

“Over 30 and trying to dance on TikTok. Might stick to cricket,” he wrote.

Warner recently posted his first dance video on TikTok, which sparked a wide range of reactions.

“Looking lean mate, where’s the rest of ya,” fellow cricketer Moses Henriques quipped on the post to Finch.

South African legend Herschelle Gibbs joked: “You feeling ok their mate?”

Bonnie Paine, Test captain Tim Paine’s wife, responded with laughing emojis at Finch’s TikTik attempt.

Warner and Finch are both 33 years old and have just started their TikTok journeys during self-isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Warner and Candice switch it up

David and Candice have been showing off their best dance moves and posting the videos to prove it - mostly to keep their young daughters entertained.

But their latest (and best) effort didn’t feature any children.

Warner uploaded a video on Monday showing himself and wife Candice decked out in their respective cricket and surf lifesaving gear.

But halfway through the video they ‘flick the switch’ and suddenly Candice is wearing the Australian cricket uniform and David is dressed in a women’s one-piece swimsuit.

Candice later posted a photo of the couple in their new get-up, sparking a flood of replies on Instagram.

“It’s very aggressive in the front area,” former Aussie player Mitchell Johnson wrote about David’s swimsuit.

Roxy Jacenko said: “Omg this is hysterical.”
