Darts world in shock over incredible feat of perfection

Dimitri van den Bergh has sent the darts world into meltdown with one of the rarest feats in the sport.

The Belgian star hit a stunning nine-darter at the Grand Slam of Darts on Wednesday, the minimum number of darts required to win a leg.

He managed to hit two rounds of 180s before his final three darts of treble 20, treble 19 and then double 12.

It’s just the fourth nine-darter in the event’s history, and the first since 2015.

The Belgian went on to win the match 10-6, moving through to the third round.

He also collected a cool $45,000 for the nine-darter.

“I still don’t know what happened,” he said.

“Did I just do that?! I’m over the moon, especially because of all the hard times I’ve been through over the past few months.

“This was my first ever recorded nine-dart leg, that was something special.”
