While we’ve seen Walmart toys go viral before — like this mom who bought “Frozen” dolls and made a shocking discovery when she examined the receipt — TJ’s toy purchase is going viral for a special reason.
Traveling home for the holidays? Here are 4 things you need to do right now
This no-stress party dish is perfect for whipping up last minute:
But one toy in particular recently took Kylee’s breath away: a rare Squishmallow named Winona who’s learning sign language.
According to her Squishmallow tag, Winona the Llama Pegacorn is expecting a new little sister who is deaf, so the whole family is learning sign language.
When TJ spotted the rare pink and blue Squishmallow on a trip to Walmart, he knew he had to get it for Kylee — and her reaction to the stuffed animal says everything.
Winona isn’t the only Squishmallow who signs. There’s also Archie the Axolotl, whose bio explains that he “talks with his hands” and even started a club to help Squishmallows learn “Squishmallow Sign.”
“ This was so beautiful…”
TikTokers left thousands of comments on TJ’s video, sharing their reactions to his sweet surprise.
“Oh my gosh. Her face when you tell her,” one user wrote.
“I’m crying. This was so beautiful,” another user wrote.
“You are an amazing dad,” commented another.
“She’s so beautiful, sweet soul,” wrote another.
Even the official TikTok account for Walmart left a comment: “Squish story of a lifetime 💕🤟”
Hopefully, toy companies will continue to create inclusive toys like Winona and Archie so that all children can, one day, see themselves represented in the toy aisle.
