Cymru Premier round-up: The New Saints win again

Friday 9 February

Bala Town 0-1 The New Saints: The New Saints continued their winning run but were made to work for it away from home against Bala Town. Brad Young's goal on the stroke of half-time was all that could separate the sides on Friday evening at Maes Tegid. According to Guinness World Records, TNS are now six wins short of their record of 27-straight victories.

Haverfordwest County 1-1 Pontypridd United: Ten-man Pontypridd earned a 1-1 draw away against Haverfordwest on Friday evening. Luke Cummings' dismissal after half an hour was soon capitalised on by the hosts who took the lead four minutes later through Ben Fawcett. However, the 10 men equalised before half-time as Ben Ahmun levelled the score. County went in search of a winner in the second half but could not break down the 10 men of Pontypridd.

Aberystwyth Town 0-1 Colwyn Bay: Bottom of the league Colwyn Bay earned a vital away win against Aberystwyth to move within a point of safety. Neither team could find an opener in the first half, before Matty Hill put Colwyn Bay ahead with 20 minutes to go. Colwyn Bay and Pontypridd - the teams in the relegation zone - are now both on 17 points, one behind Aberystwyth.
