Cymru Premier round-up: Saints return to winning ways in style
Friday, 27 September
Barry Town United 1-0 Aberystwyth Town: Aberystwyth remain rooted to the foot of the Cymru Premier table after Ollie Hulbert's goal five minutes from the end of normal time broke the visitors' resistance, consigning them to an eighth league defeat of the season.
Haverfordwest County 1-0 Cardiff Metropolitan: Haverfordwest closed the gap on second-placed Cardiff Met to just two points thanks to an Owain Jones strike early in the second half for the hosts.
Newtown 1-6 The New Saints: Saints came into the game having suffered consecutive defeats for the first time since October 2019, but stopped the rot in style to climb above Newtown into fifth. Danny Davies gave Saints the lead when Newtown failed to deal with a corner, allowing the defender to volley home. Sion Bradley doubled the lead just before half-time, with Aramide Oteh and Bradley extending the lead in the second half. Shane Sutton did get Newtown on the scoresheet, but further TNS goals from Declan McManus and Jack Bodenham underlined their superiority.

Briton Ferry 2-2 Bala Town: Ross White gave Bala the perfect start with a goal inside three minutes, but a two-goal burst in the closing minutes of the first half - Alex Gammond and Jasper Payne on target - saw Ferry take the lead. Gammond was unfortunate to put through his own net to give Bala the equaliser early in the second half for a share of the points.
Flint Town United 0-1 Penybont: After a goalless opening period, it took until the 71st minute for Owen Pritchard to score the vital goal for leaders Penybont against a gritty Flint side looking for just their third league win of the season.
Caernarfon 3-1 Connah's Quay Nomads: Paulo Mendes, Darren Thomas and Zack Clarke eased the hosts to their fourth win of the campaign to end the day seventh in the table. Nomads got a consolation through John Disney's penalty late on as they remain on two wins so far.
