A Murder at the End of the World, a new murder mystery from FX starring Emma Corrin, has released its first trailer.

The limited series stars Corrin as amateur sleuth Darby Hart, who gets invited by a reclusive billionaire — played here by Clive Owen — alongside a group of disparate individuals. When one of the guests dies, Darby sets out to prove that it was a murder, and find out who did it.

So far, so Glass Onion (or Agatha Christie), but what sets this one apart is that it's fully in the serious thriller territory, with a foreboding and isolated location in the frozen tundra, and a moody cover of Depeche Mode's 'Strangelove' soundtracking the trailer.

Scrapper's Harris Dickinson, The OA's Brit Marling and Law & Order: SVU's Raúl Esparza are also among the ensemble cast.

Marling is co-creator of the series along with Zal Batmanglij, who collaborated with her on projects including The OA.

Previously titled Retreat, A Murder at the End of the World was due for release last month, but has been pushed back because of the Hollywood strikes restricting the promo that writers and actors can do.

Another Corrin project that has been affected by the strikes is Deadpool 3, which has paused filming.

Previously, Corrin said that they needed a "debrief" before joining a Marvel project.

"Hands up, I'm not a Marvel person," they said. "I've watched Spider-Man and Black Panther. I was like, 'Look, you're gonna have to debrief me into this'.

"It's such an intricate world. There's so much to it, it's an absolute mind-f**k."

A Murder at the End of the World will premiere on November 14 on Hulu in the US. A UK release date has yet to be confirmed for the series' debut on Disney+.
