England's famous supporter group have been slammed over an online sledge aimed at Aussie spinner Nathan Lyon.
While the Barmy Army are usually in fine form with their banter and humour, many thought they got it wrong on Wednesday.
VERY CHEEKY: Aussies troll Piers Morgan after second Test victory
Ahead of the fifth day's play at the Adelaide Oval, the Barmy Army's official Twitter account ran an online poll that sparked a raft of criticism.
“If you could play Test cricket but had to be as ugly as Nathan Lyon in return, what would you choose?” the poll asked followers.
Many fans hit out at the Barmy Army over the 'poor' jibe.
The Army later deleted the poll and actually praised Lyon for his efforts in helping Australia snare a 2-0 lead with victory in the second Test.
Considering Lyon became the leading wicket-taker in 2017 during the Test, their sledge missed the mark by a mile.
However it was only a small blip in what has been a brilliant tour so far for the England supporters.
They paid a wonderful tribute to late Aussie cricket Phillip Hughes on day five of the first Test, on the three-year anniversary of his death.
They've also managed to keep singing loud and proud across every day of the first two Tests, despite their countrymen suffering a pretty torrid time on the field.
