Zampa bamboozles Dhoni with Warnie-esque delivery

Adam Zampa channelled the great Shane Warne with an absolute jaffa to dismiss MS Dhoni in Australia's T20 win over India on Tuesday night.

While Zampa wasn't Australia's stand-out bowler in the second T20, he snared arguably the most important wicket as Dhoni threatened to undo the tourists' brilliant start with the ball.

Dhoni reached 13 off 16 balls and crashed Zampa to the mid-wicket boundary in a big threat of his capabilities, before the young Aussie bounced back with a peach of a delivery.

The Indian keeper skipped down the wicket but was deceived by Zampa's flight and bounce, the ball drifting into the batsman before ripping and spinning away to miss Dhoni's outside edge.

Tim Paine grasped the chance with both hands, leaving Dhoni stranded out of his crease and stumped.

It was the first time in 80 career international T20s that Dhoni had been stumped, further emphasising the brilliance of Zampa's efforts.

A fast-bowling masterclass from international rookie Jason Behrendorff helped give Australia a shot at an upset victory.

The tourists levelled the series at 1-1 with an eight-wicket thumping of the hosts in the north-eastern city of Guwahati.

If Australia can win Saturday's series decider in Hyderabad, it will salvage an unlikely victory after being comfortably beaten 4-1 in the ODIs.
