Rashid channels Warnie with extraordinary leggy

Adil Rashid has made the cricket world sit up and take notice with a stunning leg-spinning wicket reminiscent of Shane Warne's 'ball of the century.'

The Yorkshire tweaker was instrumental in his side's 24-run win over Durham with four wickets for his side in England's T20 Blast.

But it was Rashid's delivery that absolutely bamboozled Michael Richardson that really stole the headlines.

The leg-spinner pitched the delivery outside Richardson's leg stump with enough flight and dip to keep the Durham batsman guessing.

Richardson stayed back deep in his crease and tried to flick the ball through the leg side but it turned so sharply that it missed the inside edge and clattered into the off-stump.

Rashid went on to take 4-19 as Yorkshire comfortably defended their total of 8-152 by restricting Durham to 7-228.

Earlier, David Willey top-scored for Yorkshire, belting four sixes on his way to 44 from 27 balls to help the home side set a respectable total.

Shaun Marsh chipped in with 36 from 31 balls as Yorkshore inflicted a sixth straight defeat on Durham.

However, talk after the match inevitably turned to Rashid's delivery and its incanny resemblance to Warne's first Test delivery in England in 1993 that bowled out Mike Gatting.
