Healy hits back at KP's 'rubbish' claims

After leading the Sydney Sixers to WBBL glory, Alyssa Healy took aim at Kevin Pietersen over his controversial mid-week comments.

Pietersen's Melbourne Stars were eliminated from the BBL finals at the hands of the Perth Scorchers on Tuesday and KP wasn't happy with the WACA pitch.

The former England international described the deck as "one of the slowest" he'd ever played on, hinting that it contributed to his side's crushing loss.

But after a match-winning knock of 40 from 27 balls in Saturday's WBBL final at the same ground, Healy was asked what she made of KP's claims.

"Rubbish," she said. "The boys complained it's slow but it's a good wicket."

Chasing a meagre 125 for victory in 38-degree heat, the Scorchers were restricted to 7-117 from their 20 overs despite getting off to a strong start.
