'One-handed, casual as you like and spilt none'

A South African cricket fan has put on an absolute clinic on how to take a brilliant crowd catch without spilling a drop of your beer.

The spectator was taking in the Proteas' T20 international against Sri Lanka on Friday when a six was smashed straight in his direction.

With beer in one hand and plenty of other spectators around, the bloke casually pulled off a classy catch and kept his beverage in tact.

"What a catch!" commentators cried. "Well done!"

"One-handed, casual as you like and spilt none."

On the field, David Miller smashed a quickfire 40 as a new-look South Africa won by 19 runs in the rain-shortened first T20.

South Africa, who rested a number of experienced players and had five debutants, were sent in to bat in a game reduced to 10 overs a side and bludgeoned their way to 5-126 at Centurion Park.
