Lynnsanity hits the Gabba as Tait gets sent to the roof

Chris Lynn's stunning run of form in the Big Bash shows no sign of slowing up after he hit an absolutely humongous six at the Gabba on Friday night.

The Brisbane Heat batsman treated Shaun Tait with no respect as he sent a delivery from the Hobart Hurricanes paceman onto the Gabba roof.

"Oh my goodness, Chris Lynn has taken the Wild Thing and he's sent him possibly onto the roof," one of the commentators yelled.

"Have a look at the look on his face he said 'that's just what I do,' it was at 148-kilometres an hour."

Tait could only laugh as he watched the ball sail high over the boundary and disappear over the top of the grandstand.

The Heat star (84n.o), alongside captain Brendon McCullum (72), combined to make light work of the Hurricanes' total of 173.

Brisbane ended up cruising to a seven-wicket win with 22 balls to spare to consolidate their place atop the BBL ladder.
