Smarmy Army ridicules Australia over Test cricket crisis
English cricket fans have wasted little time sticking the boot into Australia, following the crisis that has engulfed their fierce sporting rival.
Australian selectors have made sweeping changes to the national squad ahead of the third Test against South Africa in Adelaide, and the Old Enemy is reveling in Australia’s plight.
English supporters and former players have been flooding social media to ridicule the Australian team, and in particular, the selection of English-born opening batsman Matthew Renshaw.
Great to see Australia picking an Englishman to get them out of this hole.... #Renshaw

Of course, mocking Australia for selecting a foreign-born player in their Test side is pretty rich considering England’s sides have been littered with players born in South Africa, including Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Andrew Strauss and one of their most famous captains, Tony Greig.
But Australia’s selection merry-go-round has seen hordes of sarcastic English fans take to social media to apply for a position in the Aussie Test XI.

Australia's revamped Test squad assembles in Adelaide today after the most stunning selection sweep of a generation.
Interim chairman of selectors Trevor Hohns has the prospect of six changes, including four Test debutants, for the Adelaide Test that gets underway on Thursday.
"This panel, with the support of our administrators, decided to revamp our team taking into account form, ability and/or potential to perform at Test level," Hohns said.
"We see this is a very exciting challenge for everybody concerned.

"I'm not for one minute going to suggest an immediate turnaround. Patience will be required.
"But we are obviously hopeful that these players can gel together and stop the downward losing momentum we are currently experiencing."
Queensland's 20-year-old Matt Renshaw will open the batting for Australia with Nic Maddinson, 24, and Peter Handscomb, 25, in the middle order.
Swing bowler Chadd Sayers and Jackson Bird are vying to replace Joe Mennie - who with Joe Burns, Callum Ferguson and Peter Nevill were axed from the second Test side.
