Caribbean League cricketer's highly embarrassing run out

Jamaica Tallawahs batsman Andre McCarthy was dismissed after committing the cardinal sin when running between wickets in the Caribbean Premier League.

McCarthy was at the non-striker's end when batting partner Kumar Sangakkara called for a quick single.

McCarthy appeared to be coasting into his crease but a schoolboy error cost him dearly as he failed to ground his bat.

The ball cannoned into the stumps but McCarthy looked well home, however replays painted a different picture, showing the younsgter's bat in the air.

"That's lazy and sloppy running", legendary commentator Ian Bishop said.
