Richardson's hat switch pays dividends
George Bailey loves them, but it appears Kane Richardson isn't a fan of the yellow floppy hat.
Richardson started the second ODI agianst India at the Gabba wearing the iconic head-wear that almost broke the internet when Bailey sported one in game I.
RESTED: Hazlewood out for rest of summer
NEW GOAL: Dhoni says 330 is now normal
But when the hat flew off his head and hindered a throw he made from the outfield early in game II, Richardson switched to the cap.
Just a few balls later, Kohli hit the ball to Richardson at fine leg, who made a beeline to the ball and delivered a perfect throw to run the Indian superstar out as he tried to steal a second run.
The cap stayed on Richardson's head, and the rookie paceman made a laser-like throw right above the bails.
Bailey says wants to make the yellow floppy cool again, and he's urging his temmates to join in on the fun.
It seems to be catching on, with Richardson and Glenn Maxwell joining Bailey in donning the yellow floppy at the Gabba.
One fan was so taken by the hat they even started a twitter account for it, calling it: @GeorgeBaileyHat.
All cricket should be played in the daytime so we can see more of me.
