Warnie forced to deny more plastic surgery rumours

Shane Warne has produced a cheeky response to speculation he has had plastic surgery.

A wave of rumours spread across the internet after the Australian cricket legend appeared in photos on Instagram with a somewhat smooth expression.

The 45-year-old’s followers ribbed him, with one exclaiming: "What happened to your face Shane?"

Another declared: "OMG Shane what the hell have you done to yourself. A bit too much Botox."

However, Warne – who now works as a TV pundit – laughed off the criticism with a new photo, insisting filters had contributed to his unusual appearance.

"You Muppets, it’s called filters!" he said. "Way too easy to wind people up."

It’s not the first time Warne has been accused of going under the knife.

In 2013, Australia’s all-time leading wicket taker took to Twitter to rebuff claims – branding them "rubbish".

But at least he saw the funny side. Twelve months later, he appeared in a spoof advert that saw him receive a set of bottom implants.

Warne took 708 wickets during a stellar Test career with Australia and is widely considered one of the sport’s greatest ever bowlers.
