Mike Tyson returns Evander Holyfield’s ear

Mike Tyson and Dennis Rodman are among a group of stars sending themselves up in a hilarious new advert for an American shoe shop chain.

The advert for Foot Locker shows a series of retired American sports stars putting wrong the rights of their past, with Tyson leading the way by returning the chunk of ear that he bit off Evander Holyfield during their infamous bout in 1997.

The advert then shows basketball's ultimate bad boy, Dennis Rodman, booking a one-way flight to North Korea - a reference to the two trips to the isolated communist state that Rodman has made.

Also starring in the advert are NFL legend Brett Favre, who declares to a waitress that "you have to know when to walk away" after being unable to finish a meal - a reference to the fact that he retired and then returned to the game so many times that fans began to grow heartily sick of the sight of a genuine American football legend.

There is also an appearance by a famous American TV sports broadcaster, Craig Sager, who is shown burning a huge pile of the tasteless striped suits and blazers that have been his trademark throughout his career.

The link bringing all these things together is apparently what Shoe Locker are calling their "week of greatness", because lots of new different trainers are apparently being released all at once.

But let's face it, nobody's going to remember anything other than the little jewellery box holding part of the ear of a former undisputed world heavyweight champion.
