The news comes two months after its Season 1 finale was released in the U.S. TVLine recently named it one of 2023’s 10 Hidden Gems.

“We’re super excited that Paramount+ has the good taste and exquisite judgment to renew us for another season,” series creators, stars and real-life marrieds Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer said in a statement Wednesday.

Added Paramount+ EVP of programming Jeff Grossman: “Colin From Accounts quickly won over audiences with its quirky, relatable storylines and lovable characters. Patrick and Harriet are crafting another phenomenal season, and we can’t wait to share what is next for Ashley, Gordon and Colin.”

For the uninitiated: Colin From Accounts is centered on Ashley (played by American Auto’s Dyer) and Gordon (Evil’s Brammall), “two single(ish), complex humans who, in Season 1, are brought together by a nipple flash, a car accident and an injured dog” they name — you guessed it! — Colin From Accounts.

In addition to Dyer and Brammall, the cast features Emma Harvie (Frayed) as Ashley’s best friend Megan, Helen Thomson (Irreverent) as Ashley’s mother Lynelle, Genevieve Hegney (Young Rock) and Michael Logo (In Limbo) as Gordon’s coworkers Chiara and Brett, and Tai Hara (Home and Away) as Ashley’s ex-boyfriend James.

In the Season 1 finale, Ashley and Gordon — spoiler alert! — re-housed Colin, then immediately came to regret their decision. By the end of the episode, the couple vowed to get their disabled dog back.

Season 2 is currently in production. A release date has not yet been announced.
