Coles shopper baffled by detail on bottle of juice

An eagle-eyed Coles shopper has left people scratching their heads after spotting Woolworths juice on the supermarket shelf.

Luci Anne, from Port Lincoln in South Australia, posted a video on TikTok on Sunday.

“I’m in Coles,” she says in the video.

“And there is Woolworths juice.”

She points to a number of bottles Woolies multivitamin juice on the shelf placed next to the Coles juice.

Luci Anne told news.com.au she informed a staff member at Coles about the juice and he thought it was a prank.

She claims she showed him and his co-worker who both started to laugh.

What is Woolworths juice doing in Coles?

Woolworths told Yahoo News Australia to refer questions about the juice to Coles.

A Coles spokeswoman said the find is under investigation.

“All cartons are scanned at different points throughout our supply chain and we’ll be following this up with our supplier and Distribution Centre today to find out how this product ended up on our shelves,” she said.

People call juice find the 'biggest crossover of the year'

The find had a few people online chuckling.

“There’s a glitch in the Matrix,” one woman wrote.

Another woman wrote “somebody [is] getting fired over this”.

“They’re just trying to help them with sales,” one man wrote.

Another woman suggested “maybe” Coles “felt bad for Woolies”.

“The biggest crossover of the year,” another man wrote.

It’s not the first time a Woolworths item has popped up in another supermarket.

An Aldi shopper found Woolies frankfurters on a shelf last month fuelling speculation something had gone wrong in the supply chain.

One person suggested that package could have simply fallen out of someone’s shopping bag.

Both Woolworths and Aldi declined to comment on the sausages.
