Cliftonville hit six to maintain perfect record

Cliftonville continued their charge towards the Women's Premiership title with a 6-0 win over Larne at Inver Park.

Kirsty McGuinness opened the scoring in the seventh minute, and Carla Devine doubled the advantage from close range three minutes later.

Louise McDaniel added a third soon after the restart before a flurry of late goals added some gloss to the scoreline.

Caitlin McGuinness netted in the 81st minute before captain Kelsie Burrows made it five with a header.

Northern Ireland midfielder Marissa Callaghan completed the scoring in injury-time with a long-range effort.

The result moves Cliftonville six points clear of reigning champions Glentoran, who have a game in hand.

Cliftonville host their title rivals in their penultimate game of the season on Sunday, 6 October.

The Reds have a 100% winning record from their 13 league matches this season, while the Glens' sole defeat came at the hands of Cliftonville.

Larne remain in eighth place following the defeat.
