Clement on team news, Ross County & not checking the table

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been talking to the media before his side's Scottish Premiership clash with Ross County on Wednesday.

Here are the key points from his press conference:

  • Leon Balogun is training with a mask and they’ll see how he is tomorrow before deciding if he’s in squad. Ryan Jack is getting treatment and won’t feature.

  • Rangers will need to "break open the wall" against County to try and get the win and goals they want. Doesn’t want to look on County as "fragile" despite their recent struggles, but doesn’t expect any big surprises in terms of how they’ll line up under Cowie.

  • Not drawn on title race chat. But says if fans are excited about title race, that’s a good thing because it creates a different type of noise to earlier in the season.

  • Team changes are only way to cope with upcoming challenges on different fronts. Says modern day football stops you regularly picking the same nine or 10 players every game.

  • Clement was asked if he will be satisfied if he checks the league table on Wednesday night and sees his side are sitting top. "I will not look at the league table," he answered. "No. I will be happy if we’ve won the game - that’s the only thing."
