Cheeky Salah goal lights up the internet

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has left the football world in a spin after a sumptuous goal against Wolves in the Premier League.

The Reds went to the rain-soaked home of their league rivals looking to maintain their advantage at the top of the table.

Unsurprisingly, it was last season’s top scorer and player of the season whop provided the opening goal at Molineux.

Salah hasn’t quite hit the meteoric heights he reached last season but his finish for Liverpool was a reminder of his immense talent.

Capitalising on some neat build up play from Fabinho and Sadio Mane, the Egyptian met the former’s cross with the deftest flick of his boot.

The audacious attempt caught Rui Patricio completely off guard as Salah’s brilliant effort put the visitors ahead.

The Egyptian’s exquisite flick certainly went a long towards dispelling some fans’ assumptions that he’s a ‘one season wonder’.

Salah has now moved one goal above Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as the Premier League’s top scorer.

It was the 26-year-old’s 11th goal of the season.

A second half strike from Reds teammate Virgil van Dijk eased Liverpool to a comfortable 2-0 win that extends their league lead – at least temporarily – to four points over Manchester City.
