Cavs' Dellavedova out with strained neck

·1-min read

Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova will miss his side's NBA game against Toronto after suffering a neck strain and a head clash that left him with four stitches above his eye.

The Australian's injury was one of many suffered by Cleveland players in Sunday's loss to Washington and will leave them short-handed for Monday night's game in Florida.

Forward Larry Nance Jr broke his right thumb and likely will miss the remainder of the season.

It comes after Nance missed seven games recently with an undisclosed illness and more than a month with a broken left hand.

The 28-year-old is averaging 9.3 points and 6.7 rebounds in 35 games.

Isaiah Hartenstein and forward Lamar Stevens also suffered concussions during the Wizards game, which leading scorer Collin Sexton missed with a concussion he got last week in Charlotte.

Sexton also has been ruled out again, and there's no timeline on a return.

Cleveland has 12 games left in a season that has been marred by injuries.
