Cats won't rush Taylor back in AFL

Geelong key defender Harry Taylor is unlikely to return to AFL action until after the mid-season bye.

A persistent foot problem has limited Taylor to only three senior matches this year, with coach Chris Scott on Thursday ruling the two-time All-Australian out of Saturday's big home game against North Melbourne.

"He's probably looking more likely post-bye to be honest," said Scott, flagging the prospect that Taylor would also miss the clash against Richmond on June 17, after which the Cats get a week off.
