Cardiff beat Coventry in top of the table showdown

Cardiff Devils beat Coventry Blaze 3-0 in a top of the table Elite League showdown at the Skydome Arena.

A fiercely contested encounter remained scoreless until Zach O'Brien netted the game's opener in the final stages of the second period.

Reid Duke extended the away side's advantage early on in the third period before O'Brien scored his second to seal victory for the Welsh side.

Devils are back in action against Glasgow Clan in the Elite League on Friday, 22 November (19:30 GMT).

Blaze host Nottingham Panthers at 17:30 GMT on Sunday, 17 November.
