One deputy just assisted with labor and delivery!

Early Tuesday morning, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Victorville station deputies helped deliver a baby boy, per the SBCS press release.

Deputy J. Tomasello arrived on the scene and found the unnamed mother in active labor. The expectant mother told the deputy that she felt her baby was ready to arrive and needed to start pushing. Soon, Tomasello prepared for the delivery and immediately gloved up. The deputy then helped the mother deliver the baby.

As Deputy Tomasello assisted in the delivery, two other deputies — Deputy Robinson and Deputy Vasquez — supported the mother and held her hand during childbirth. A few minutes later, at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, baby boy Bryson was born.

He sat with and held the newborn during his visit. He shared that both are doing well since their eventful morning.

“Congratulations to mom and 👶 Bryson!,” the SBCS wrote in a Facebook announcement. “🚨 Great work deputies! 🥲🫶👏.”
