Cadiz ended a five-game winless streak by defeating 10-man Alaves 3-1 in the Spain's La Liga.

In Sunday's other matches, Jose Luis Morales scored a goal and set up another as Levante rallied in the second half to defeat Eibar 2-1 while Valencia's Carlos Soler got the only goal at Real Valladolid.

Cadiz were thrilled to end their drought, which had taken in two consecutive draws and three losses, since they beat Barcelona in December.

Alex Fernandez put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute only for Joselu to equalise for Alaves from the penalty spot in the 23rd.

Cadiz restored their advantage when Anthony Lozano scored after the break in the 56th minute before Alvaro Negredo sealed the victory 12 minutes later.

Alaves, winless in their past three matches in all competitions, had defender Alberto 'Tachi' Rodriguez sent off for a second yellow card in the 50th.

Cadiz are ninth while Alaves are 14th.

At Levante, veteran Japanese midfielder Takashi Inui put Eibar ahead in the 51st minute but Morales set up Gonzalo Melero's equaliser in the 65th and scored the winner 11 minutes later to grab all the points.

The victory moved Levante to 10th place while Eibar dropped to 14th.

Valencia jumped to 13th courtesy of their 1-0 win at Valladolid.

Soler struck in the 76th minute for the visitors to leave hosts Valladolid just two points above the drop zone in 16th.
