Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy leaves field on cart with reported high ankle sprain
Jerry Jeudy was tagged for a second-year jump after a solid rookie season with the Denver Broncos.
It appears his breakout will have to wait. For a little bit, at least.
The Broncos receiver went down after a deep catch against the New York Giants on Sunday. His right ankle twisted badly on a tackle, and he remained prone on the field after the hit.

After a few moments, Jeudy left the field on a cart with his head in his hands. Early reports indicate that it's serious, but not as devastating as it appeared. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Jeudy has a high ankle sprain. X-Rays came back negative.
High ankle sprains are no small injury for NFL receivers. They can sideline players for weeks at a time. But it's certainly better news than suffering a break if Pelissero's report holds true.
Jeudy was expected to be an integral part of Denver's offense this season after tallying 52 catches for 856 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie. He was off to a good start on Sunday with six catches from Teddy Bridgewater for 72 yards in less than three quarters.
