Three more added to round out men’s gymnastics team

After John Orozco and Danell Leyva earned automatic berths to the U.S. men's Olympic team, USA Gymnastics added three more team members and three alternates. The men representing the U.S. in gymnastics in London are:

Jake Dalton, Reno, Nev./University of Oklahoma;
Jonathan Horton, Houston/Team Hilton HHonors (Cypress);
Danell Leyva, Miami/Team Hilton HHonors (Universal Gymnastics);
Sam Mikulak, Newport Coast, Calif./University of Michigan;
John Orozco, the Bronx, N.Y./Team Hilton HHonors (U.S. Olympic Training Center).

Horton is the only returning Olympian, having won team bronze and silver in the high bar in Beijing. After a previous injury bothered him at Olympic trials, Mikulak only competed on one event the second day for precautionary reasons. When he's healthy, he can provide big scores for the U.S. Dalton was impressive and steady throughout the Olympic trials and Visa Championships.
