Blake Griffin picks up 2nd technical foul of a series he's not playing in
The Detroit Pistons snuck in to the playoffs with a 41-41 record to nab the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.
Maybe they’d have been better off in the lottery.
The top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks opened the series with Detroit on Sunday looking like a championship contender, easily dispatching the Pistons, 121-86 in Game 1.
Blake Griffin watching series from the bench
They did so while Pistons star Blake Griffin sat on the bench with a knee injury that’s expected to sideline him for the series.
Griffin wasn’t officially ruled out of Wednesday’s 120-99 Game 2 loss until almost tip-off, but sit again he did after doing some work in shoot-around.
Despite not suiting up for either game, Griffin is working his way into the box score.
Griffin picks up 2nd technical
Griffin picked up his second technical foul in as many games Wednesday night as he argued with officials while wearing a suit on the bench. His technical during a timeout late in the third quarter put Bucks guard Khris Middleton on the line for a free throw to extend the Milwaukee lead to 81-71.
Wednesday’s technical comes after Griffin picked one up on Sunday while arguing with officials over a flagrant 2 foul called on teammate Andre Drummond for shoving Giannis Antetokounmpo on this play:

The Pistons were in the midst of letting Wednesday’s game get out of hand when Griffin picked up his second technical foul. The frustration of watching his teammates struggle without being able to help appears to be boiling over.
