Jim Magilton says he is 'pleased with the result' after Cliftonville drew 1-1 with Crusaders at Seaview.

Ryan Curran gave the away side the lead from the penalty spot before Kieran Offord cancelled out the goal and ensured that the points were shared in the north Belfast derby.

“It was pretty end-to-end at times. It was a bit like a game of basketball in terms of ‘we’ll attack, you attack’ and in between that I thought both teams tried to play and both teams at times cancelled each other out, but overall, I’m pleased with the result.

"We always talk about important moments in games, so we’re very disappointed to concede near enough right away after we had gone in front.

"I felt that we were at times a little bit too hesitant or we didn’t do things as quickly or as confidently as I would have liked, and we recognise that."

Cliftonville stopper David Odumosu made multiple crucial saves to deny the home side all three points, including one to stop Jordan Forsythe's looping free-kick in the final five minutes.

“He has had a really good week - he has made some crucial saves midweek, and he has had to step up to the plate again. He is an outstanding keeper, and he did great today.”
