Emma isn't the only BBC Breakfast presenter to welcome a new arrival in the past few months, with business correspondent Nina Warhurst giving birth to her third child, a baby girl, in July.
Emma, who is the programme's Northern Ireland correspondent, had recently been covering Nina's maternity leave before heading off on her own in August.
Nina recently opened up on life with a newborn on Twitter/X following a comment by a follower, asking if she'd been able to get much sleep.
"We are great thanks," Nina replied, adding: "She does keep me up but all worth it."
BBC Breakfast airs every morning from 6am on BBC One.
