Plus the chain's Turkey Cake is also back on Nov. 1
You might think "Thanksgiving ice cream" would mean pumpkin spice or apple pie flavors — but not at Baskin-Robbins.
The chain is changing things up with its Flavor of the Month in November with Turkey Day Fixin’s, which emulates the taste of almost every classic Thanksgiving side dish.
Baskin-Robbins' Turkey Day Fixin’s combines flavors of sweet potato and autumn spice for its ice cream base. It mixes in sweet chunks of honey cornbread, as well as tart swirls of cranberry sauce. All that's missing is the turkey itself, stuffing and mashed potatoes (for good reason).
Customers can try Turkey Day Fixin's all month long at Baskin-Robbins locations nationwide, starting Nov. 1.
So far, the feedback on social media has been positive. TikTok user officialayyytj, who works at a combination Dunkin'/Baskin-Robbins, rated the flavor a "pretty decent" 7. Meanwhile, TikTok user br1xnj, who is an employee at Baskin-Robbins, reported that it "isn't bad," also rating it a 7.
But if Turkey Day Fixin's sounds too out of left field, Baskin-Robbins will also be offering a Turkey Cake as a sweet alternative to Thanksgiving's run-of-the-mill pies for the month of November. Though it looks like a bird that's fresh out the oven, the cake is actually filled with any choice of ice cream, with "legs" made from sugar cones. It's also lathered with caramel praline glaze, for that juicy sheen.
The Turkey Cake is now available for pre-order, so fans can get it in time for Turkey Day.
While Baskin-Robbins has desserts covered for Thanksgiving Day, Popeyes is also offering a savory Cajun Turkey, which is available for delivery. Anyone who doesn't feel like basting and brining their own bird can pay $99, to make things a little easier this holiday season.
