High schooler cops brutal knee in fundraiser dunk fail

A 'Pros v Joes' fundraiser at a Canadian high school has ended in a technical knockout in the worst way possible.

Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, a school in Winnipeg, Manitoba, recently hosted the annual event and had former Canadian football player Jordan Reaves on hand to entertain.

The 27-year-old's plan was to dunk over a student.

At 193 centimetres and with the athleticism to become a professional athlete, he should have made it. After all, Ismail Zaid is just a teenager. He's not too tall.

Well, it went pretty wrong -- as the video above shows in horrifying fashion.

Two things are remarkable about this incident.

Ismail seemingly came away from it with just a scratch, albeit one that required several stitches.

The second is that Reaves appeared to think all went well!

"Pros vs Joes was a huge success! Thanks to all that supported! #myKneeHyperExtended #sorryZeids," he wrote on Instagram.

"A huge shout out to the champ @ismailzaid5205 my man walked out with a smile."
