Norton has undergone surgery on a broken thumb suffered in the Hawks' loss to Melbourne United on Monday.

The club, which is searching for an injury replacement for their starting point guard, said Norton played the second half of the game with the injury.

Norton, who's averaged eight points and two assists in 2017-18, is expected to be back for the final three rounds of the regular season before finals begin in February.

After reaching the finals last season, the Hawks are 5-7 having lost their past two games.
