LeBron James '100 percent leaving' the Cavs

A veteran reporter who has accurately predicted the movements of LeBron James in the past says the NBA star is "100 percent leaving" the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Chris Sheridan was one of the first to call James's move from Miami Heat to the Cavs in 2014.

At the time Sheridan called it a "90 percent chance" that LeBron would part ways with the Heat.

This time, Sheridan is even more sure of King James's exit, with his Tweet sending social media into meltdown.

Predictably, denials about the rumour quickly began surfacing on social media, with Cleveland.com reporter Joe Vardon challenging Sheridan's assertion.

It’s entirely believable LeBron would leave Cleveland because of Dan Gilbert, with plenty of talk surrounding his strained relationship with the Cavs owner.

Sheridan also called Carmelo Anthony’s trade from the Denver Nuggets to the New York Knicks in 2011 when most of the basketball fraternity thought otherwise.

While the weight of opposition to Sheridan's claim suggests LeBron is going nowhere this time around, the reporter's NBA track record means neither scenario should be discounted.
