NBA star discovers he's traded in brutal circumstances

NBA superstar discovers he's been traded mid presser

NBA superstar Demarcus Cousins found out he'd been traded to New Orleans in brutal circumstances.

The former Sacramento Kings star had just sat down for a post-All Star game press conference when an NBA representative whispered to him that he'd be leaving the franchise he was drafted to in 2010 as the number five pick.

"Oh really?" A shocked Cousins responded upon hearing the news.

He then cheekily responded that he 'loves the city of New Orleans' - both the place he'd just completed All Star weekend, and his future home.

BIGGEST LOSER: Shock trade costs Cousins $97 million

His manager Andrew Rogers saw the humorous side of the ordeal as he prepared to take a flight out of New Orleans with Cousins, despite the fact that the pair had no real place to go.

Meanwhile, the whole NBA community ruthlessly mocked the Kings for trading away their superstar.

The troubled franchise received Buddy Hield, ‎Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round pick and a future second-round pick for Cousins, not enough according to almost everyone.
