Shocking tumble at bizarre college basketball arena

The raised court at the University of Minnesota's Williams Arena has caused trouble for Indiana Hoosiers guard Josh Newkirk.

In a unique situation, the floor is lifted two feet above the courtside fans, benches and tables.

Cameramen, however, remain seated alongside the basket stanchion.

Newkirk went up for a layup with just under eight minutes remaining in the first half but came down too close to one cameraman.

As he looked to stabilise on landing his feet caught the feet of a cameraman, kicking off a tumble onto the concrete floor.

Newkirk appeared to land on his head and shoulder but he was able to walk to the bench himself.

Minnesota went on to win 75-74 courtesy of a late tipped shot.
