Oklahoma star Russell Westbrook emulated basketball royalty after recording his seventh consecutive triple-double in the Thunder’s 102-99 loss to Houston.

Westbrook’s extraordinary feat is the longest streak since 1989 when the great Michael Jordan also notched his seventh in a row.

The Thunder point guard had 16 points and 10 assists when he grabbed his 10th rebound with just under eight minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

Westbrook finished the match with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

It was the 12th triple-double of the season for the Oklahoma star, who is closing in on Wilt Chamberlain’s record of 9 straight in 1968.
