D'Angelo Russell roasts Nick Young in Ben Simmons' new Foot Locker ad

D'Angelo Russell roasts Nick Young in Ben Simmons' new Foot Locker ad

After working out with the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons reportedly got the thumbs up that he will be the number one pick in Friday morning's NBA draft.

Now with the limelight of being a top pick comes the nicer things in life: the endorsement deals, the national spotlight and most importantly the Foot Locker commercials.

Making his acting debut alongside recent rookies Devin Booker, Karl-Anthony Towns and D'Angelo Russell, Simmons began what is certain to be a bright future as a marketing mainstay.

It was his ad, but Russell stole show with his sage advice for Simmons. As Towns and Booker warn him about the difficulties of life in the NBA, Russell asks Simmons to "trust me" as he tosses the Aussies' phone out the window and into the ocean.

Paging Nick Young!

An obvious nod to the now infamous Snapchat cheating debacle which embroiled Russell and Lakers' teammate Nick Young, who admitted to cheating on girlfriend Iggy Azalea while being secretly recorded by Russell.

Side note: They broke up yesterday.

This is an ethering of biblical proportions at Young's expense, but the hilarity of putting it in a nationally televised commercial is too real.

PS: I think Young definitely saw the commercial.
